Venue Descriptions
Stowe Mountain Resort offers a variety of venues and meeting rooms to suit the needs of both social and business events. Surrounded by the Green Mountains, the environment offers a setting with a natural beauty that is un-paralleled anywhere else in the state. This serene and beautiful environment is the perfect setting for both social and business events.
The Toll House Conference Center
The conference center is conveniently located just steps from the Inn. This historic building was the home of the original base lodge for Stowe Mountain Resort and the building has been preserved as a part of the resort’s rich heritage and history.
Mansfield Room
A dramatic wood, cathedral ceiling; walls of arched windows; natural light and views of the mountains create a dramatic and romantic atmosphere for a wedding or social event. This beautiful room will host up to 150 guests for a plated reception and dancing, 175 without dancing; 250 for a reception and 200 guests in a theatre style setting. This multi-functional room is the perfect location for social and business events.
Spruce Room
The Spruce Room, adjacent to the Mansfield Ballroom, serves as an area for cocktail receptions for social functions in the ballroom as well as smaller meetings and break-out rooms. This room is capable of hosting up to 47 theatre style; 50 for a reception and 40 for a plated dinner.
Terrace Garden
The double arched doorway of the ballroom opens onto the beautiful Terrace Garden. The garden is abloom through-out the summer and fall with annuals and perennials. The garden provides a beautiful setting for wedding ceremonies as well as an outdoor option for cocktail receptions, break-outs, luncheons, team-building activities and group photos.
Toll House I & II
Located on the lower level of the conference center, these adjoining rooms are perfect for smaller meetings or may be used as break-out rooms for larger groups. Each room has a capacity of up to 40 theatre style and may be used separately or together.
Fireside Tavern
The Fireside Tavern, located at The Inn at the Mountain, provides a cozy and charming atmosphere, complete with stone fireplace, nostalgic artifacts and signage from by gone days at the resort. It is the perfect gathering spot any time of the day and especially charming for late night gatherings. Indoor/Outdoor barbecues are popular at this location in the warmer months. It will host up to 100 for a reception and 45 for dinner.
H.H. Bingham’s
H.H. Bingham’s Banquet Room, named for one of Stowe’s original pioneers, is conveniently located on the lower level of the Inn at the Mountain across from the Fireside Tavern. The Fireside Tavern is often coupled with this room for use as a reception area when social functions are held in H.H. Bingham’s. Large windows provide natural lighting and double French doors open onto a slate patio. This multi-functional room serves as a business or social venue and will host up to 75 theatre style; 150 for a reception and 100 for dinner.
Game Room/Hearth RoomThe Game Room is located on the middle level of the Inn. It is flanked on one side by a large stone fireplace and on the other side by a series of windows which provide great views of the Toll Road area of the mountain. Adjacent to the game room is an outdoor deck which may be used along with the game room to provide an outdoor option for events. The Hearth Room adjoins the Game Room and may be isolated by a sliding door. The Hearth Room is typically used as a sitting area with gas-log fireplace and large screen TV. However, it may be used as an overflow area for events held in the Game Room. The Game Room will host up to 75 theatre style; 75 for a reception and up to 100 when used with the outer deck.
Bingham’s Cottage
Bingham’s Cottage is located across the road from the Inn at the Mountain and can easily function as a lodging and meeting space for smaller groups or a hospitality suite for larger groups. Tastefully decorated and fully equipped, it is a unique alternative to the traditional meeting venue.
Stowe Country Club
Stowe Country Club, located at the 18 hole, of our pristine, championship golf course, occupies what was once a turn of the century dairy farm showcasing 360 degree views of the surrounding Green Mountains and the Worcester Range. The Country Club offers a dining room with outer deck, outside covered patio and Kirkwood’s Pub. These areas may be used separately or combined for larger groups. Seating capacities vary depending on event, but traditionally the dining room will host 75 for a reception and 45 for dinner. The outer patio will host up to 225 for a reception and up to170 for dinner.
The Cliff House Restaurant
Nestled at 3625’ on the shoulder of Mt. Mansfield, Vermont’s highest peak, the “famed” Cliff House Restaurant is known as the most spectacular Mountain-top venue in all of New England. Accessed only by an exciting ride on our 8-passenger Gondola, the Cliff House offers “Mouthwatering views and Breath-taking cuisine. The dining area will seat up to 75 for a plated dinner and the stunning outer deck provides a dramatic location for a wedding ceremony or cocktail reception.
Midway Lodge
Located just above the base of the Gondola, Midway Lodge features floor to ceiling windows with slope-side views, a brick fireplace, wrap around all-season deck and a Mexican themed restaurant and bar. A chameleon in disguise, Midway is easily transformed from a casual base lodge to a formal setting to accommodate larger meetings and events. Midway is capable of hosting 350 for a reception and 175 for a plated dinner.
Jose’s Cantina
This Mexican themed restaurant features hand-painted murals and floor-to-ceiling windows. Jose’s may be used as a separate venue that will seat up to 75 for a plated dinner and 175 for a reception. Located within the Midway Base Lodge, it may serves well as a reception area for larger groups utilizing the Midway’s dining area for dinner.
Spruce Camp
Spruce Camp, one of our newest venues, is currently under construction at the base of Spruce Peak, with a projected completion date of December 2008. It is located in the hub of our new village at Spruce Peak and architecturally, this venue will feature a towering, vaulted ceiling, constructed with wood-tresses; a bar/lounge area; stone patio with fireplace and additional private dining space. It will provide a very impressive atmosphere for both social and business events.
